In December of 2022, I received a scholarship to participate in CREA’s Disability and Sexuality Rights Online Institute. The 6-week program encompassed lectures and workshops on the aforementioned topics, and was a great eye-opening experience.
For the compulsory final project, I created a zine in the style of a cookbook entitled “Digesting Disability.” The zine, which was fully written and illustrated by me, means to turn the difficult and intimidating topic of Disability Rights into something digestible.
The project received an overwhelmingly positive response from the organisers of the Institute, who encouraged me to publish and distribute it locally.
